This year Beech Tree Elementary School was happy to provide a virtual family engagement experience for PreK -2nd grade parents called Partners in Print (PIP).  Last night was an opportunity for Mrs. Allman, our Reading Coach at BTES, to host a workshop to help parents with strategies to implement at home with their children to encourage good reading habits.  Mrs. Allman also shared a resource called Pioneer Valley.  Pioneer Valley provides digital access for elementary students to high quality books to read.  Students and parents can access this reading resource along with other educational applications at Beech Tree’s website (https://beechtreees.fcps.edu/) by clicking on the Technology Resources for Parents and Students announcement.

Beech Tree ES was lucky to have five guest readers to help us experience the joy in reading together.  Mrs. Allman read Z is for Moose.  Mrs. Walnock, a 1st grade teacher, read Mortimer.  Mrs. Carter, our Special Education Teacher, read Chickens to the Rescue. Principal Daugherty read Tortillas are Round, Las tortillas son redondas . Ms. Britton, our Librarian, read The Book of Rules.

Thank you all for taking time to attend.  It was great to share some of our favorite books with everyone.
