End of Year SMARTR Outcome

 

100% of students in Kindergarten through 5th grade will have access and opportunity for  instructional experiences using advanced curriculum and Project Based Learning. By the end of the fourth quarter, students will receive a rating of “proficient” or higher  in the CREATIVE & CRITICAL THINKER indicator on Portrait of a Graduate, as measured on grade level rubrics.

Strategy 1

Kindergarten through 5th grade teachers will receive bi-monthly, differentiated, professional development to use Advanced Academics Resources and Project Based Learning to raise the bar for all students.

Strategy 2

 Full-time AART will provide and model monthly AAP instruction to students in grades K-5.

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

 

 95% of students in grades 3-5 will pass all SOLs.

Strategy 1

Teams will plan for a consistent, purposeful Balanced Literacy block to close the gap in reading using the FCPS Language Arts Pacing Guide.

 

Strategy 2

Teams will plan for a consistent, purposeful, Math Workshop to close the gap in math. 

Strategy 3

The school will use a multi-tiered system of support to assign and progress monitor research-based interventions aligned with the individual needs of identified students. 

Strategy 4

School-wide English Language Development Professional Development will be provided by the EL Cohort/PD Leaders.

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

 

The number of families participating in school-wide events will reflect at least one third of the student population as we provide opportunities for families to connect with other families within the school community.

Parents will be notified of school events through a variety of media.
