Mr. Meyer has worked for FCPS for 22 years but has recently joined the Beech Tree family in 2019.  He is the School Based Technology Specialist at BTES, which means he works with teachers and students in how to integrate and use technology toward better learning.  Mr. Meyer's favorite thing about working at BTES is how nice and small the school is, working with the amazing staff and how the students make him smile everyday.

Originally from Southern Indiana he attended Fayetteville ES.  One of his favorite memories of elementary school are the teachers,  friends he made, and playing sports at the school.

Mr. Meyer is married to Rebecca Gentry, who also teaches for FCPS.  In fact they met at Herndon High School while both teaching science.  They have 2 kids; Jacob a 6th grader,  Lucille a 5th grader, and a dog name Jackson, an American Fox Hound.

When not working, Mr. Meyer enjoys reading about history and science fiction.  He likes to run and mountain bike with his son.  He also is a huge gardener and runs Happy Suburban Farms in Oakhill, VA. Ok, it's his backyard but feels like a farm.
