We welcome Mrs. Monica Callender to the Beech Tree ESOL Department and #BeechTreeFamily.  Starting as a long-term sub for FCPS in 2020-2021 she transitioned to full time ESOL Coach at Beech Tree in 2021-2022 school year.  She says she loves the energy of the school and getting to work with the English learners. It is so rewarding to help students communicate in English!  Born in Peru, she has lived within the U.S. in New Jersey, Virginia and Hawaii.  She has also lived in Hong Kong and England for a few years. Married to her husband, Brian, for 20 years, she has two children: Kylie, a senior in high school and Michael, an eighth grader.  She enjoys hiking, biking, running and working out in her free time.
